Madelyn has a wide range of medical and educational speech-language pathology experiences. She has worked with both adults and children across a variety of settings, including a Level 1 Trauma Unit and an Advanced, Comprehensive Stroke Center (the only one in the tristate area at the time).
Madelyn trained and studied under some of the most world renowned speech-language pathologists during her training, and she is a proud alumni of the Speech- Language Pathology Graduate program from the University of Pittsburgh.
In 2021 Pitt's graduate SLP program was ranked #3 in the US by US News and World Report.
She has been practicing speech language pathology professionally since 2013.
Madelyn is also a registered affiliate of the National Aphasia Association, a member of ASHA Special Interest Group 3: Voice and Upper Airway Disorders, a member of ASHA Special Interest Group 13: Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders: Dysphagia, and a Lee Silverman Voice Treatment certified clinician.

Conducts differential diagnosis of: speech disorders (articulation, phonological, fluency, dysarthria, and acquired and developmental apraxia of speech), language (aphasia, language processing disorders, pragmatic language (social language disorders- also ABA assistant and Autism trained, and developmentally delayed language)), cognitive-linguistic disorders (including right hemisphere stroke, TBI, dementia, other neuro-cognitive disorders, executive function disorders/ADHD), voice (vocal cord dysfunction/PVFMD, muscle tension dysphonia, presbyphonia, vocal cord paralysis), and swallowing disorders (expertise encompassing pre-oral phase through pharyngeal phase, including conducting x-ray swallow studies and interpretation, with etiological and referral considerations).
Madelyn has fulfilled the hospital based role of a expert clinical trainer of colleagues, graduate students, and clinical fellow in video fluoroscopic swallow studies. Madelyn is always available for independent interpretation of a study from another facility given the video of the study and notes regarding consistency presented. **This may not be covered by insurance. Upon request however, she will always review imaging and consult with the conducting clinician from the hospital that provided the imaging as part as an initial clinical evaluation.

Madelyn offers a same day cash discount for out of pocket payers. There is also a sliding scale for fees based on the National Poverty Guidelines.
You can pay both your copay and for cash therapy sessions with a credit card or health savings account through the online patient portal.
